The American National Standards Institute is currently soliciting nominations for their Personnel Certification Accreditation Committee (PCAC).
The Nominations Committee of the PCAC seeks dynamic national experts in the field of personnel certification, accreditation and/or policy development. Specific duties include creating recommended policies and procedures for the accreditation program, determining the accreditation status of certification bodies that have applied for initial accreditation and/or undergoing their annual surveillance accreditation process and providing input/advice to ANSI staff regarding operational issues.
Although all individuals are encouraged to apply with expertise/knowledge in personnel certification, accreditation and/or policy development, this year a preference will be given to individuals who currently have a background in the following five areas:
Chief Executive Officer of a Certification Body – An individual who has over-all responsibility for the policies and operations of a personnel certification body. This individual should report to a Certification Committee or Board of Directors.
Higher Education – An individual who works as a faculty member or administrator in a University, College and/or Community College and has experience with personnel certification and/or teaches a test and measurement course(s).
Federal Government – An individual who is currently employed by a federal or state agency and is responsible for a program(s) that uses certified individuals.
Labor Unions – An individual who is a member of a labor union and is associated with the use of certified individuals.
Public Member – An individual who uses services provided by certified individuals. Has experience or served formally in positions of advocacy. This individual is not directly associated with any certification organization.
NOTE: All of the individuals above should have at least five years of experience in their area of expertise.
